Minuteman EMS was tied to my Crew for several shifts. They were incredibly engaged with my crew, participated in briefings, and were very knowledgeable on extrication tactics. They hiked with my crew into very steep terrain, set up equipment for extraction and briefed us on if we had an injury what they would do and what support they would need from us. During a firing briefing Minuteman EMS too the lead on the medical briefing and IWI procedures. All of the Minuteman team members were very engaged and wanted to learn what it is wildland firefighters do to further their knowledge. During the Great Basin Team 5 assignment on the Moose fire in Salmon Idaho Minuteman provided EMS coverage with EMTF, EMPF REMS team and Ambulance personnel. The staff that I had the pleasure to work with were: Tyler Olson, Ben Lindenbam, Blaze Colombe, Brennen Halloway, Jesse Bean, Mathew Peters, Jesse Agular, Ayman Ahmad, Chase Lamb and Jarod Scrimshire. I am pleased to write in this evaluation that all of these personnel were not only professional, competent, attentive and helpful but also a pleasure to work with. Tyler was extremely helpful facilitating smooth replacements of staff and with any questions or concerns that I had. I felt very comfortable and confident with their care for the line firefighters. They truly made my job easier. The Minuteman staff demonstrated that they and the Minuteman company are dedicated to patient care and the safety of the fire personnel. I would highly recommend Minuteman to any fire operations in need of EMS staffing. I hope to work with these individuals again on another assignment.
